Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara: Review And Demonstration

Chanel Le Volume mascara

I'm finally going to show you this awesome mascara from Chanel. It's Chanel Le Volume mascara in black. It was featured in my Chanel mini collection/haul.

I won't be dancing around the truth here and tell you right away that I'm in love with this mascara. I love everything about it: the packaging (yeah, surprise-surprise, it's Chanel), the wand, the formula. The wand is quite interesting and doesn't look like anything I've seen before, it's quite wide but tapered at the end. It's got a lot of bristles that are placed in a ...weird way, but they work. They're short but not too short like, you know, to the extent that they can't grip your tiny lashes like mine (join the team, anybody?) and just end up putting mascara on your lash-line and lid rather than your lashes. Well, these aren't like that, these are perfect: they grasp every lash and separate it and add lots of volume. This mascara is also very black. The formula is very creamy, it's not wet and not dry, it's perfect. But it becomes the best in my opinion after about a week of use. At first it takes a long time to dry, even though it isn't wet, like I said, it's strange. Anyway, you have to be careful applying it at first, but once it dries up just a little after a week, it is perfect. It wears beautifully, I haven't had any issues with it at all. So, I love it.

Below is a demonstration of the mascara on my eyes in 1 coat and 2 coats compared to the naked eye (yep, I'm showing you my naked eye). It builds up beautifully without clumping.

1 coat of Chanel Le Volume mascara on the left eye versus the naked (no mascara) right eye

2 coats of Chanel Le Volume mascara on the left eye versus the naked (no mascara) right eye

Chanel Le Volume mascara on both eyes

Eye look using just a light dusting of a very light eye-shadow over the lids and 2 coats of Chanel Le Volume mascara on the eyes
